So, thirteen children and two teachers have departed to Abernant for their Manor Adventure residential trip. They left at around noon today (02/04/12) and will have three days of action packed fun before they return on Wednesday afternoon. This is the second year that we have taken our pupils on this trip and everyone could not wait to go again after last year's successful school journey. More can be read about that trip here. Mrs Price and Mr Arthur shall pass updates on to me (Mr. Roberts) as soon as they can and I shall then relay them on here and @llanharanps as soon as I get them.

Monday 2nd April:
- They have all arrived safely and have dived head-first into the Manor Olympics. They are now having a brief pause before going for evening tea. Next up... another exiting activity!
- Mr. Arthur has set up a blog from Abernant here.
- Abseiling is up next I believe. Will they all conquer the wall!?
- Abseiling done and everyone now tucked up in bed sleeping.

- Word gets to me that Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Price did not conquer the wall... though this may have more to do with them not getting enough time to do so.
- First up tomorrow I believe is the wonderfully messy obstacle course.

Tuesday 3rd April:
-Everyone had a good night's sleep, a full hearty breakfast and are now on route to the very, very messy assault course. I hope none of them are wearing white...
- Obstacle course complete. Apparently the only casualty was Mr. Arthur's trousers. Still to come today: rock climbing, zip-wire, raft building and fencing. Some mean and moody clouds on the horizon though...
- Everyone has had a go at the rock climbing, which takes place on the abseiling wall conquered last night. Food has been eaten, with Mr. Arthur expressing his delight at the amount on offer. The zip-wire is up next. From experience last year, this is great fun but very challenging due to the rope ladder climb up onto the platform.
- The zip-wire has been completed and they're now moving onto the raft building. I can't help but feel I should have warned the pupils that Mr. Arthur expressed a keen desire for his team's raft to not work and everyone to fall in the water... oh well, too late now! Oh, and it's started snowing...!
- Word has reached me that the raft-building did not quite go to plan and everyone got wet. Now, what was I warning about Mr. Arthur's plans...
- Confirmation via Mr. Arthur's excellent Blog here that the raft building turned into a wet carnage filled affair! Everyone had fun though! They're having tea and are then off to fencing, which I can reveal was actually the most popular activity in the vote before everyone went to decide what they were going to do! The snow came to nothing by the way.
- The fencing was as popular as it was last year according to reports. Everyone enjoyed learning a new skill which they wouldn't have encountered before, especially the 'glove-slap' duel enticer! Everyone is now tucked up in bed asleep ready for the last day, a blind trail and archery... and who knows, some snow!?!

Wednesday 4th April:
- Everyone is up and awake and have had breakfast before their room inspections. They are now getting ready for the blind trail before moving onto the archery. They will then jump on board the bus and return to school.
- It is currently snowing big flakes!
- The behaviour of pupils has been, as expected, fantastic.
- Mrs. Price has just enquired as to whether it is actually possible to move whilst wearing six layers of clothes.
- Mrs. Price is naturally upset that essential paperwork has kept her in the warmth, preventing her from stepping outside into the snow to complete the blind trail...
- The blind trail was rushed through due to the snow - all good fun though.
- Archery complete. It was very difficult in the snow but we did manage to get a bullseye through Lauren. A final dinner and then everyone is on the bus and on their way back to school.
